1. How do I commission a custom painting?

  • I open commissions a few times a year for a one-week period: This year, windows will open May 16th, and September 1st.

  • During these windows, I accept 10-15 commissions on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. What types of paintings do you offer?

I specialize in:

  • Storefronts – The bars, Restaurants, and shops you love

  • Cityscapes and Landscapes – Travel memories, favorite views, and beyond.

  • Home Portraits – Capturing the nostalgia, memories, and excitement of homes old and new.

  • Pet Portraits – Celebrating the furry (or feathery) family members we love.

  • Engagement & Wedding Paintings – Commemorating your love stories with art.

3. How much do custom paintings cost?

  • Pricing varies based on size and complexity.

  • A full pricing guide is available when commissions open.

  • More detailed paintings (such as multiple pets or people) require an additional complexity fee of 10%.

  • Pricing is up to my discretion and will be communicated and mutually agreed upon before work begins.

  • Shipping and handling is not included in the price of the commission. Typically shipping costs $10-$20 depending on shipping location (in the USA) and painting size.

4. Do you offer payment plans?

  • I require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your spot.

  • The remaining 50% +shipping is due upon completion, before the painting is shipped.

  • Payment plans can be discussed upon request.

  • I accept Venmo, Zelle, & Paypal

5. Can I request changes once you start painting?

  • Before painting begins, we’ll align on the vision with an initial sketch.

  • I also provide progress updates throughout.

  • Minor adjustments can be made early on, but once painting begins, significant changes may require an additional fee or might not be possible.

6. Do you offer expedited commissions?

  • Yes, if you need a painting outside of my standard timeline, an expedited request can be made for an additional 25% fee.

  • Expedited spots are extremely limited and depend on my schedule.

7. What’s your process for commissioned paintings?

  • Step 1: Submit a request during the open commission window.

  • Step 2: Align on vision – I’ll ask for reference photos and any meaningful details.

  • Step 3: Approve the initial sketch before painting begins.

  • Step 4: Receive progress updates as I work on your piece.

  • Step 5: Final approval & shipping – Once complete, the painting is packaged and sent your way!

8. Do you offer discounts for multiple paintings?

  • Yes! I offer a bundling discount when ordering 2 or more paintings at the same time.

  • Discounts range from 10-15% off depending on the quantity.

  • Paintings must be ordered at the same time.

9. Can I order a commission outside of your commission windows?

No. To ensure I can give each painting the attention it deserves, I only take commissions during my set windows. However, you can join my email list to get early access when the next round opens!

10. How long does it take to receive my painting?

  • Paintings are typically painted in the order that requests are made.

  • The turnaround time varies depending on my workload, but I’ll provide an estimated timeline when your commission is confirmed.

  • An individual painting takes between 1-2 weeks to complete.

  • Upon accepting the commission, I will confirm the timeline with you based on where in the order of requests your painting falls.

11. Do you offer prints of commissioned paintings?

Yes! If you'd like additional prints of your commissioned piece, I can provide high-quality reproductions at an additional cost.

12. What happens if I need to cancel my commission?

  • Because each commission is custom and takes time to create, the 50% deposit is non-refundable if work has already started.

  • If you need to cancel before work has begun, I’d be happy to cancel and refund your deposit, minus a small processing fee.
